Ocean literacy encompasses our knowledge and tools for understanding the ocean and for interacting with its spaces, lifeforms and resources in a responsible way. Improving global ocean literacy is widely seen as critical to success in the UN Ocean Decade.

How do we inspire young people with ocean science? By creating new activities, testing them, talking about them and trying again... Our TWILIGHTED Ocean Literacy Workshop in Cabo Verde with IMar gave us the chance to learn from others and trial new ideas! Funded by the EU. Video by Patrícia Nunes.

Ciência Viva no Verão returns(!) and we hosted a smorgasbord of deep-sea activities and games for visiting families. We also had a live-stream of an ROV dive off the coast of Madeira, giving participants the chance to see a wreck and some underwater life in real time!
