On top of "pain at the pump," consumers will get hit twice with higher prices on damn near everything as shipping costs will go up. Recent federal policies have already driven up rates by reducing the number of qualified truck drivers. Record-high diesel will add to that.

we've reached a new milestone- the U.S. average diesel price has hit $6.301/gal while gasoline is up to $4.355/gal. I expect both of these to jump noticably over the next 48 hours. diesel could hit $6.60/gal in a few days, surpassing the inflation-adjusted peak seen in 2022.

Holy shit! Mina placed 4th place IN THE WORLD in her division! If that wind hadn't picked up, we could have easily taken 1st. Either way, super proud of that dog. Kansas City was also crowned club world champions! 🤩

Mina ended the Toss and Fetch season strong. Super proud of this girl. She turns 7 this month and appears to have at least one more good season ahead of her. 🥇🥏🐕🥇

If you run a food truck and the photos on your menu are clearly AI-generated, I'm moving on and picking up a roller at a gas station. At least I know what I'm getting there. AI should supplement, NOT REPLACE, work. Take a picture of your food and let AI generate a menu around that.

30 minutes after getting home from work, and tropical storm winds take down my power. Heat index is still in the 90s. Beer is quickly getting warm. All I can hear is my wife doom scrolling TikTok. Send help.

The Internet: It’s almost September. It’s fall!!! Corporations: It’s almost September. Its fall!! Have some pumpkin spice everything!!! Kansas City: Fuck you! It’s still summer here, bitches. Enjoy the hottest week of the year.

Kansas City weather forecast for the week of August 30 through September 5 showing highs between 99 degrees and 102 degrees every day.

Are we still allowing 11-year-olds to be crossing guards, or did we finally realize that putting someone with an attention span that can be measured in nanoseconds in charge of TRAFFIC was an incredibly stupid idea?

I just got back from my first "social club." I was hesitant to go, but glad I did and recommend everyone go to at least one. Meeting complete strangers at a granular level is an experience most people lack and is important for personal development and perspective.
