Hi Bsky, sorry for the radio silence. I had a job offer fall through in January and have spent the year so far scrabbling to pay bills + feed myself + my cats whilst I try and get a new job. Accepting bird doodle commissions where I'll draw you any bird you want for a $10 KoFi ko-fi.com/tytonidaeus

Hey all! I was wondering if anyone can provide some suggestions! I am looking for species of birds that have - Brightly coloured plumage on their face - Neutral coloured plumage elsewhere I have attached some examples of what I mean! (King Eider Duck, Cabot's Tragopan, Greater Bluebonnet, Verdin)

Brother Gregor never spoke and often spooked the neophytes with his appearance, but he was a gentle soul and a phenomenal cook and knew more ways to prepare a fish than the abbot knew hymns

I’m slowlybut surely working on some specbio art of how I interpret unicorns and sphinxes (the latter of which has OCs) and it’s gradually becoming a vent for my strong opinions on the exotic pet trade and how animals are bred for traits that are desirable for humans but detrimental for their health

Art server I'm part of has recently started a weekly "gijinka design challenge" which I'm super excited about! Here's my contribution to the first prompt - fish lures. A fish lure shaped like a fish is an uncanny idea - thus, Leatherface, except pirahna themed. #tytonidaeusart

A drawing of a large, stocky man with short grey hair wearing a red ribbed turtleneck jumper, a dirty pair of grey-green fisherman's overalls, and large rubber black boots and gloves. He wears a fish mask that resembles a pirahna's face, and holds a chain in his left hand, and an anchor in his right. To his right is an image of a red and grey fish lure that is shaped like a cartoon fish (the inspiration for the image), and a mock horror movie poster titled "The Incident at Serrasel Cove".

Reposting some art here as I'm realising the bulk of what I've made artistically this year has been contributions to art games, which I'm not complaining about as it 1. got me to draw at all and 2. pushed me out my comfort zones!

I'm getting back into watching films again which is so nice, but ONCE AGAIN I get sooooo self-conscious writing my gay little reviews on Letterboxd against my friends who have films logged in the thousands, despite the fact they're basically a glorified diary entry for me. Don't judge me friends!!!!

My commute from work takes about an hour one way, which is tiring, but most of it is on a bus I can take for FREE, and whenever else do I get to be taxi’d somewhere for free whilst I get to zone the fuck out listening to music and looking at yaoi on my phone?

Went to a gig for the first time in a while and remember one of my least favourite genres of gig attenders - early middle aged bloke who loudly complains about the eclectic/ less “polished” starting act to his mates/girlfriend for the purpose of getting other strangers to agree with him

I want people still involved in furry to help out! What are some current/semi-current popular fursona species/anthros to draw? Some friends and I are discussig this and we've identified that deer, possums and hyens were very popular from 2015-18-ish, but are struggling to think of current examples
