Some people were confused by my ICE post. This should clear it up.
‘The lioness does not chase fame. She follows the scent of purpose.’
ko-fi.com/alicegrimaud... After a time of relative stability we've been furloughed for a few weeks, which means our advance for this month will be zilch and a lot will be swallowed up by credit debt. If anyone could chip in a bit to help us find some balance in the meantime, it'd be appreciated.

Because this is work-for-hire, this is a less self-serving plea than it may seem. I don't really get royalties. Because I have no chill, this is a purely self-serving plea. PLEASE BUY MY BOOK RIGHT NOW, PRE-ORDER TODAY, SO I CAN WRITE THE SEQUELS PLEASE I BEG OF YOU DON'T TAKE MY STUDENTS AWAY.
This book, which I am very proud of, and think is going to make people really, really happy, answering some questions about planes that I know you love as much as I do, costs less than a single Collector Booster. We're Magic players. We make strange choices with money. Choose OMENS OF CHAOS.
People say they want Magic novels back. That we want the web fiction, which is free, to co-exist with paid, longer works that have a stricter editorial schedule and require Wizards to lock down a single author long periods of time. We get that by proving we're willing to pay for it.
The single best thing you can do for Magic fiction right now, even if you don't read YA, don't like Arcavios, or personally hate me as a writer, is pre-ordering this book. That sends a message. A very clear one, that is unlikely to be ignored.
The economics of books aren't quite the same as the economics of card sets. They cost less, but involve more dedicated work by one person, which means that in most cases, they take longer. A book represents a major leap of faith for a franchise like Magic. Let's earn it.

It's #LaborDay in the USA. On Sept. 5, 1882, tens of thousands of union laborers marched from New York City Hall to Union Square to protest deplorable working conditions. Their demands were for an 8-hour workday and safer working conditions. This is largely agreed to be the first Labor Day parade.
The job search hasn't turned into a job yet. I'm trying to keep bills paid so my family can live without the stress of eviction or shutoff notices. This past month has been hard and I'm still short on the mortgage by 500 bucks. I'm in need of #mutualaid. thiiirdperson at cashapp/venmo/paypal/kofi. 🙏🏽

![The cover of GREYSMOKE: RISING the first book in the GREYSMOKE series, being released at Midwest Furfest (12/4) this year! The front is a tarot styled design, with Mabel in her hood, holding a cigar and an obsidian kopis, the smoke wreathing her, with a bundle of roses behind. The back cover has a still life drawing in charcoal styling of a throwing knife, the choker, and a smoldering cigar in an ash tray, with the following text above: JOE IS AT A CROSSROADS.
His path is the crushing monotony of capitalist existence.
A good little cog, being ground to dust by an uncaring system.
He can’t even recognize himself in the mirror — not that he
ever could, if he was honest. Nobody could understand, surely,
and nobody would believe him anyway.
Too old to hope things would change and too scared to even
try another way, his only solace is the world of Heroes and
Villains, but even that escape has lost its luster. Ever since she
left, nothing feels right any more.
The cougar desperately needs change; to feel something, to
feel anything. He needs one kind voice to acknowledge him.
Someone to tell him that there's a choice. Someone to hold his
paw while he takes that first step, and help him blaze his own
trail. Maybe then — through the ashes and the smoke — the
puma can find herself, and what it means to live...

I think a lot of the Gender Critical hate me and trans people in general because they are jealous. We are living authenticity while they are deeply unhappy living a fake life.
Hey, remember how Nazi Germany destroyed information about LGBT people just before things got really bad? We’re now at that stage. Do what you can to stop this buffoonery, because things are starting to snowball and we need to make a stand.
