Waiting for the day a programming maniac makes Sonic Golf 3D DX run on a 3DS with full 3D compatibility. The game runs on DoCoMo's Star platform, which is based on J2ME.

Sharing info and footage about unabandoned games. I mostly focus on Japanese feature phones. Join Keitai World discord (previously Keitai Wiki discord) for more info about these games!
You've heard of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, but what about the *original* Kingdom Hearts Coded? Check out the Japanese Feature Phones table at @liretro.bsky.social to experience this game the way it was made to be played.
Today is a great day because we no longer need to load 10 gif files into an emulator just to play Dirge or Cerberus Lost Episode 😆
Today is another special day. I am so proud to say I have finally recovered the FULL copy of Dirge of Cerberus Lost Episode for Japanese cell phones. After many years of this avoiding us, it's been done. youtu.be/UfpwhMTwMgM
Keitai Archive has recently uploaded their collection of DoCoMo i-mode ringtones, which includes music from various Touhou and Final Fantasy games. Check it out! archive.org/details/ring...
More servers as well as a hardware attachment to bring your PS1 online are in the works!
Tales of Fandom Vol. 1 for PSX now has working online leaderboards again! I just finished the server implementation. You might be asking, "How does the PSX have online connectivity?" Well, you could use certain docomo Keitai back then to give you PSX internet access. So cool!
I've (roughly) scanned the original manual for the MobileWonderGate since I could not find it online. Not only could you browse web and email with the included cartridge, but also, you could download games! I wonder if we will find one of those games one day... archive.org/details/mobi...
MobileWonderGate (Manual) (JP) (WonderSwan) : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
Manual for the MobileWonderGate for WonderSwan. Also includes additional documents such as the service guide, list of compatible phone models from June 2000,...

The MobileWonderGate enabled the WonderSwan to connect to the internet through an i-mode phone. Some games that used this feature actually have their content saved in the cartridge already, like Rainbow Islands: Putty's Party. Patches linked in video description! youtube.com/shorts/th17Z...
While looking up information about PSX/PS2 games that use the Mobile Phone Connection Cable, I discovered a lot of manual scans are missing from online. So I'm going to start uploading my scans. These aren't the best quality, but hopefully they're better than nothing! archive.org/details/chec...
Check-i-TV (Manual) (JP) (PS2) : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
Manual for the PlayStation 2 game Check-i-TV. Scan was made with a DocuMate 3125.

On the Panasonic P502i, a phone so old that it didn't even support Java i-appli, you can find Mobile GUNPEY as a built-in game. I have no idea how this kind of game can be preserved since it's probably just a binary blob on the chip that only the phone can read. But it's cool! #gunpey
I love when phones are themed! The Sony Ercisson SO212i features the characters from Doko Demo Issyo. If you toggle the "Picture Book" (ポケピの絵本) option, every time you open the phone, you'll be greeted with a message from one of the characters!
ICYMI, @yuvi.app released ReMEXA, an SDK reimplementation for J-PHONE, Vodafone, and SoftBank keitai games! These were competitors to i-mode games. They're finally accessible on Windows, Linux, and Mac. See my video for some featured games! An Android version is in the works too, so stay tuned...
In the late 90s/early 00s, mobile phones were used as modems to connect game consoles to the web. Currently, the REON Team is working to bring back GameBoy features, but I don't know what's out there for WonderSwan and PlayStation. Does anyone know of other projects related to phone peripherals?
We recently recovered Bomberman Special for DoJa, and one amazing discovery I made is that the game is actually TWO applications in one. If you boot the application into "Standby" mode instead of Normal, the app becomes a clock that you can use as a phone wallpaper. Now that's nifty!
Does anyone have a Flipper Zero and a Keitai Tamagotchi? I've just created a repo of .ir files that can be used to send items codes to the Keitai Tamagotchi in place of the original phone app. Much easier than manually inputting 10 digit codes! #FlipperZero github.com/Unabandonwar...
Puzzle & Action: Tant-R is a Japan-exclusive spin-off of Sega's Bonanza Bros. In 2002, Sega released the mobile site Tant-R to distribute mobile ports of the mini-games from the original title. Recently, we recovered one of these mini-games, Tant-R: Hageshii ze (タントアールはげしいぜ) youtu.be/FxnerqYS7qI
Currently testing some keitai games in different emulators. This is the DoJa 3.5 SDK. This game seems to run a bit too fast...
This is a friendly reminder that a lot of the Keitai Archive games run on BREW for mobile and they can't be emulated...yet ;) This is Invader Chain, the aquatic Space Invaders game for mobile #keitai
If you were in Japan in 2002, you could have ordered the Bandai exclusive Gundam laptop. Only 3,000 were ever produced! This item is a PC collector's dream. #Gundam #RetroPC ascii.jp/elem/000/000...
For any keitai enthusiast at PAX East this year, I recommend checking out Gravity Co.'s booth, featuring remakes of classic Japanese retro games: Hashire Hebereke EX and the Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol 1. Sunsoft and Jaleco were both prolific publishers during the keitai era!
Check it out!
I went on the Video Game History Hour podcast with @unabandonware.bsky.social! It's a great overview of keitai game preservation, from the games to preservation challenges. I hope you enjoy! Thank you to @philsalv.bsky.social for having us on. Listen here: gamehistory.org/episode-152-...
I had a wonderful surprise today when I discovered that the SH-02B Marimekko edition comes with a Marimekko machi-chara. Those sheep outfits are so cute! #keitai #marimekko

I truly love crossovers like this
A keitai game that's a port of... a Casio LCD calculator game?! Preserved last year by Yuvi, "Boxing Game" was developed by G-MODE and originally released for i-mode devices in 2001. Our preserved version, which has better graphics, dates to 2004.
In Super Bomberman G Wide for F905i, you have to rotate the phone screen mid-game in order depending on whether the stage is wide or tall. It's honestly one of the most clever integrations of hardware I've ever seen. #keitai #bomberman
If y'all see a user by the name of "TwoSpaces" running around the web and claiming that Keitai Archive doesn't track original versions of our files—we actually do. He has a hobby of joining various communities and trying to smear our reputation. Please do not pay it attention.
