still so many copies of this left on vinyl and, looking at bandcamp, not a ton of sales even digitally do people not like this album as much as my previous stuff? is it because i'm not on twitter anymore? what's the deal? i also got so few reviews for this one and it's kind of a bummer

Friend asked me to do a deep dive on some artists for a sketchiness check, took a peek at one person's portfolio. I will ~*never*~ understand whatever impulse drives a person to illustrate women being murdered/abused/etc (or bands who proudly display it on an album cover/merch). It's fucking gross.

I've just received good news from the Turkish border— the stellar Iranian composer and musician Siavash Amini @capgrasman.bsky.social is alive and safe. While we mourn our fellow Iranian artists and musicians that are lost to us, we also celebrate those that are still here.

While it feels like I only just got here to MN, set things up, etc., I’m heading back to NY by September. Big part of it is because my partner, who is from here, decided early last year he wasn’t coming back due to uh… y’know…everything? Can’t blame him at all.
