Many opponents of high taxes, like Dan Niedle, have pointed out that higher tax rates on the rich don't translate into higher revenue. But another role they play is in reducing pre-tax incomes of higher earners and (ideally) rent-seeking behaviour.

With LLMs I think a key tell - one that's kind of subtle - is that they generally don't/can't go back and correct existing wording. So they have to add new text if they've forgotten something. "That's a sharp question. Your second question also deserves answering."

That's not what I said though, is it? I asked why they were reporting the things Trump said *plainly*, as if they were credible and didn't change every hour. Most of what he says is noise and responsible reporting means pricing that in. bsky.app/profile/masb...
