I've seen some takes over the years that this interaction was tantamount to sexual assault; can one ever meaningfully consent to a god's advances? Duane wouldn't care for the insinuation, of course.

A lovely transition that uses plant vines and flowers to break up the panels as Duane is embraced by Lady Llganyag, the worshipped beast of the Black Tongues. Human hands twine together, peeking from the flowers that both look like petals as well as pretty shirt sleeves. Duane is reminded of nights with his wife rather than even perceiving that he is cuddling with a senet beast. "Do you FEEL this?" She asks him, looking for the confirmation of palpable nostalgia. "How..?" he asks, overwhemed to the point of tears as she wipes them away and kisses him again. "I told you, space and time.. death and life... all of it is HERE." They were truly in the Khert, a place that to her is more familiar than any human soul here, "We Khertwalkers may conjure it when we wish. Your memories need not be a source of pain; they can be your power." Despite how manipulative the claim is she cradles him like he is as cherished as her favorite, Bastion. the upheaved red torso pulls him into a full hug, towering over them as the raven body she is lodged in curls its wings around them. "And we will REDEEM ourselves. We will put things RIGHT." she promises. In the borders, melding into other flowers are the images of lions, extinct beasts that are prolific in religious imagery of ssaelism, the religion Duane follows. Specifically as they were what was once used to hunt down and slay the figurehead, Sonum Ssael.
