For the scant few who may have noticed I became scarce on this platform the past couple months... My mother entered hospice, and passed away last week. Hospice was a light at the end of a long tunnel, but I recognized it as an oncoming train. Next month is the ten year anniversary of Dad's death.

so basically: -the FCC made up a rule violation it accused ABC of -then worked with Trump-friendly local broadcast affiliates (seeking merger approval at the FCC) to make it look like everybody else had complied I'm sure defending that will go great in court!

I like that Trump finally settled on the ballroom to replace his wall as "the stupid thing we don't need that he won't get built" this term. Much like the war he started & the faked assassination attempts, this is not distracting the irrelevant from him being all over the Epstein files.

At least "don't investigate the people who tried to assassinate me" is on brand for the guy who said covid case counts go down if you stop reporting them & who said there's no real reason to expose the Epstein files. He's a caricature of what the perfect opposite of transparency might look like.

Prof Pape is right: Trump has repeatedly made clear he wants no special or independent inquiry into what happened in Butler, PA. And that's just weird. About as weird as the multiple reports from last night suggesting members of Team Trump had foreknowledge of an incident at the dinner
