Hey y'all! Marketing's a headache. I'm still trying to get followers for Such Sweet Sorrow's crowdfund campaign. You can find it, and 38 other projects, in The Book Bazaar this year! S3 - www.backerkit.com/call_to_acti... TBB - www.backerkit.com/c/collection... #BookBazaar26 #QueerWriters 💙📚🩸📚😱📚

A screenshot of a google search that shows "fending off migraines, ghosts, and grief" in the search bar. There is a prompt at the bottom that says, "Did you mean: Such Sweet Sorrow?"

I'm so stoked. Only four more followers to my campaign needed so it can launch! Get your #art print & short story! And #dragons! And #fungal #horror! And your queer, neurodivergent bird-people, (one leg sold separately). #TBB #BookBazaar2026 #💙📚 #🌈📚 #🪐📚 #amwriting #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

#QueerWritersChat I need 9 more followers before BackerKit will give me a chance to print my #book! You can get #stickers when you pledge later this year! A bookmark! (Probably a never-before-seen short story :3.) And a physical copy of a really cool fantasy! www.backerkit.com/call_to_acti...

#Critterary These creatures are amorphous, able to vastly change their shapes, but are uniformly colored to blend in and move in the shadows-- dark blues, dark purples, blacks. Their eyes glow; red, green, or white, depending on the available light or lack of it.

Today we're talking appearance! What exactly does your creature(s) look like? Any variations/regional differences? #Writing #WritingPrompts #Critterary

#Critterary 2: The New Batch (of prompts) - An August writing prompt game. Today's Theme: Appearance. Description time! What does your creature(s) look like? Size, shape, weight, colours, texture, special features... Bottom Tagline: Celebration of all things creatures! Hosted by Serra Leta. Art is a man bent on a knee, examining something with a magnifying glass. Background is a fern-filled jungle.

#FantasyIndiesAugust 5. Aloe (TFTNG) - October 15th, the Grieving. It's a ceremony that is dedicated to honoring those who have died throughout the year. Such Sweet Sorrow - October 18th. The day Rebecca's world changed. Yule Parlay - Yule/December 21st. It's the reason for the story.

#SumLuv hmm... My first few dives into romance weren't with things in the genre (Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles, Drawing Blood by Billy Martin/Poppy Z. Brite) or beta reads. My first actual romance was probably Sara Raasch's Nightmare Before Kissmas, on @allyxwood.bsky.social 's recommendation.

Do you remember the first romance novel you read? Where did you get it from? 🧡 #SumLuv 🧡

Romance Writers Summer of Love #SumLuv @EllieYellu Day 5: Romance Reads. What was your introduction to romantic fiction?

#MythAugust Out of the four, I'd say probably Neshia and Alphonse are the most powerful, but Chiara is the most respected. Alphonse is literally the strongest, physically, and his strong moral code has made his faction try to follow his example as a guideline. Neshia is the strongest, in - 1/4

#MythAugust 5 Today is about hierarchy! Who ranks highest or lowest among your gods/spirits/whatever? Is there a consensus about this ranking? As usual, interpret the question as loosely as you need to to fit your specific worldbuilding, and feel free to skip if it's not relevant to you! 😊❤️

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 5:
Let's talk hierarchy! Which of your deities are more powerful/respected? Are there minor deities who serve the big ones?

Background image features a classic painting of Thor wielding his hammer with lightning, about to smote his enemies.
Below the hashtag in small text it says "Presented by @professoremily.bsky.social."
At the bottom of the image in small text it says "Feel free to yap about a fantasy mythology you already have, or use these prompts to create a new one! Don't forget to interact with others :-)"

#AwesomeCharacters It's Cypress or Acanthus, hands down. And, I'm probably exasperated more than anything. "What did you two do now?!" Someone is either chasing them, or they got up to mischief and went in over their heads.

🌱🫜 Charlie (Chelizabeth) Delta 🦊🪻@charliedeltawrites.bsky.social · 20h ago

Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters You and all your characters are staying together somewhere! You hear a loud crash, then silence. Which one do you immediately suspect, and what do you think just happened? Are you worried or mad? #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#Char_Roleplay "Hello. I'm Conroy Hewitt. Regret... Now, that's quite the powerful word, isn't it? I think, what I regret most of all, is that I lingered in academia. I could have put more energy and time into my own art endeavors."

#QueerPrompts TFTNG - Acanthus prefers a small group of trusted people, but winds up collecting friends like pokemon cards lol! Cypress LOVES a big friend group. Such Sweet Sorrow - Rebecca prefers one close friend. Quality over quantity. YP - Phoebe looks at her friends as family, so big group.

#MythAugust Because they were an adventuring party, there really aren't any factions within the deity structure. The closest thing to a "faction" would be that Chiara emit light from their skin in the dark, and are daywalkers. This makes it so that she cannot be in the same area as the other three.

🫜Prof Emily🫜@professoremily.bsky.social · 2d ago

#MythAugust 4 Today, tell me about the different factions among your gods/spirits. Think like the Æsir & Vanir in Norse mythology, or angels & demons in Christianity. What's their relationship? Are they sworn enemies? Sometimes allies? Interpret the question however makes sense for your story!

If you're a new writer looking to publish your book, my biggest piece of advice is to do research into publishing, no matter whether you want to go trad or self-pub. And PLEASE avoid vanity presses and hybrid publishers that ask you to pay to publish your book.

#13MorbidMemories Faded photographs always make me think of the impernanence of memory. There was a fantastic story someone wrote on Substack following photographs that I'd love to see more people read. UPDATE: Upon finding it, it's been paywalled :( The Polaroid Lover by Aveline Lark.
