Random fact of the day: FFXI's title screen has 4 sets containing 22 total different zone flyovers it uses for the background. Each set plays dependant on if you have its expansion installed, there is the base game set (always plays, obviously), RotZ, CoP and ToAU.

The game is well over 2 decades old, its janky, it has a learning curve shaped like a brick wall, and a lot of the character of the game comes from it being an unbalanced dumpster fire. Saying that, FFXI is something you only get to enjoy for the first time once. Have fun, take your time.

On a sidenote, really happy with how Hymnus is handling exporting pngs with the background removed, these images have not been edited by me in any way, just, export, done.
People elsewhere seemed to enjoy this so bugger it, you guys can have it too. I took what I've learned about how FFXI does fonts and turned it into a TTF. It's not perfect, but, it's (in my opinion) better than the Vana'diel UX one floating about, link in the second post
Given the dialogue box some more polish to be more FFXI-themed if you select that option. All configurable to any kind of way you want it to display! The speed UI band under the dialogue box also fades out now and the auto-advance has been replaced with a FFXIV styled rotating icon.
