@leilamizrahi.bsky.social and I benefitted from a community grant to organise #QuakeHack (a statistical seismology Hackathon for early career scientists) a few weeks back. This programme is an amazing support to organise workshops and training schools!

This week I'm in sunny Davos for the 4th Schatzalp workshop on induced seismicity! I'll be one of three voices talking about federal-cantonal cooperation on monitoring of induced seismicity around geothermal projects tomorrow (20.3) at 9:00

Only a few days left to apply to join the #Quakehack, the first statistical seismology hackathon for early-career scientists! Early-career scientists without institutional support are also encouraged to apply, financial support can be made available. Info and applications: quakehack.ethz.ch

@leilamizrahi.bsky.social and I are incredibly honored and thankful to have been awarded a community grant from @seismosocam.bsky.social! 🥳 Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming event soon! www.seismosoc.org/news/ssa-com...

So, now that we've all made it to #EGU24 and are already overwhelmed by all the science, may I challenge you to stay until the very end? I will say something about higher-order aftershock modeling, but the whole session should be cool and worth staying alive for until then!

I'm in Mendrisio for the Swiss Geoscience Meeting #SGM2023 Find me in room B2.02 for two talks: Modelling induced and natural seismicity in Hengill at 11:30; and GeoBest: Seismological best practices for geothermal in Switzerland at 12:00

View from the Mendrisio SUPSI building overlooking the train station with hills in the background. The sun is out

Introduction round for this new place: I'm a geophysicist working on modelling fluid-induced seismicity at the Swiss Seismological Survey at #ETHZurich. I defended my doctoral thesis in May, and when I'm not coding, I spend my free time sewing, playing the violin or cuddling cats.
