No real storm chasing today, I was out Kingston way but there was one storm that was rotating that I caught up with near Port Britain, ON. #ONstorm

Biscuit was born in October 2013 & came into our lives in December of that year as a rambunctious puppy. He has come on many family adventures, my solo outings and was part of the pack with our other two beagles Sasha and Henry. Biscuit passed away in our loving arms at 7:15PM and broke our hearts.

Cold front sagging down, instability west of the escarpment, mostly stable east of the escarpment. Storms looking very linear attm. That said, if there’s a discrete storm, then that’s the one!

Not sure what to make of the severe risk across Srn ON, lots of outflow boundaries, random smoke and a very complicated overall picture.

worse than 2023 up here in the Sault. there's a dusting of fine white ash on everything outside. first time I can ever recall seeing that. 😶‍🌫️

This is the worst smoke in seen in the GTA, it’s reducing ground visibility significantly and blotting out the sun. Car still says 29C, but it is definitely cooler than it has been. It was also still +30C last night at almost midnight. #ONstorm #ONWX

Well today worked out to be better than anticipated. Caught the only storm that was rotating and it was a nice slow easy chase from Brantford down towards Norwich. The mess from London way moving east (my storm was moving SW) crashed into the low topped supercell and it died. #ONstorm #ONWX

Today was another big wind bag of a storm, first near Campbellville with 90 km/h gusts and then a second "storm" on the actual cold front pushed into the moisture laden outflow in Toronto and generated a shelf cloud. #ONstorm #ONWX

Had an intense storm chase today as a supercell thunderstorm moved SE across SW Ontario. Strong low-level rotation, then a tornado developed west of Glencoe. Some large hail, too. Did a preliminary damage survey then caught a double rainbow and mammatus on the way home. Full package! #ONstorm 1/2

And this is the problem with using warning areas based on administrative boundaries instead of storm derivative boxes. All of Toronto is under a warning for a storm affecting the far NE corner of Scarborough. Rest of the city is sunny and clear. #ONstorm #ONWX

Today turned out to be a little more exciting than I expected. One storm in particular near Guelph took on super cellular characteristics and had a wall cloud with a tail pointing towards the precipitation and very broad rotation. Video to come tomorrow. #ONstorm #ONwx

Here's the WRF-NAM near Moose Creek (Ottawa way) - it's cranking out a storm and on the leading outflow of that storm it is pushing the supercell comp to 19 because of the local shear it is guesstimating will occur. Just a neat oddity. #ONstorm #ONWX

A single storm event that cancels an airshow cannot alone be linked to climate change in any meaningful manner, especially when it occurs around mid/peak season for such storms. This is bad luck, nothing more, and attempting to frame it around climate change is disingenuous to actual climate change

While storm chasing today, this poor tree blew over as the gust front came in and took out power to the gas station in Arthur Ontario. The storm cluster / mcs / MESS was a big wind bag. #ONstorm #onwx

I'm thinking about heating out today, there's a pretty good outflow boundary that has an MCS riding on it and the energy building into Southern Ontario is pretty strong with widespread 4000+ j/kg sfc cape and some pockets of 5000+ j/kg #ONstorm #ONwx
