🏳️‍🌈 💍 🇭🇷, but I live in Southend-on-Sea now. Love to bake, love a good videogame. Formerly obsessed with Fallout (my Vault Boy tattoos are an indelible proof of that) and I also take photos on 35mm film. Love me some horror films. He/him #believeinfilm

Mixed feelings about this one. The art is absolutely stunning and there's many memorable, visceral moments in here, but the mid section goes on for ages and after like the fourth (graphic) instance of domestic abuse I was like 'JESUS OK we get it!' Also someone must have really liked The Shining...

It's been a long day and we managed to do tons of work. Drilling, sanding, scrubbing etc. That pint was well-earned. Also managed to find a kitchen clock that was an absolute bargain. The owner was well-aware he could have easily sold it for 4x more, he just couldn't be arsed. A legend.

Drew preparing the wall for the trunkingThe new kitchen clock. It's really heavy. A post-work pint of Heineken.

There's only one working lift in this building (again) and the management company is trying to shift blame onto all residents rather than fix the damn lifts lmaoooo Imagine trying to tell someone on the 10th floor they have to use the stairs if they're moving flats. GTFO with this shit.

Part of the management company notice trying to tell the residents NOT to use the lift if they're moving into or out of their flats :D

Another LGBT venue closing down, this time it's Chelmsford, and it was, I quote, the "only dedicated LGBTQ+ bar in the county". So yeah. Essex is looking a bit grim now. There's something I've been seeing more recently, and it's the comments saying how there's no need for these venues anymore...

AI graphics (quite grim) posted by Bar Plus in Chelmsford that is about to close down, explaining why, what the obstacles were etc.

Bad things come in threes usually. My Ray-Bans managed to break, and I also walked directly into the garage door earlier today which resulted in a bump on my forehead, so what's the third thing?

These sunglasses fell from a counter that was barely a metre from the floor. What the hell

Me telling Drew how much I can't stand Orville Peck's music followed by him playing his latest single and me realising I don't mind it at all...

I'm pretty sure one of my longtime friends has just used AI-generated reply in the group chat because the sentence does not sound like her at all. I'd love to be wrong, but I also know for a fact she uses Claude Pro in everyday life so... 😖

Replaying Resident Evil Village hasn't changed my opinion on it. It's a blast to play and it's perfectly paced. The plot, however, is just preposterous, even by RE standards, and the main retcon is almost offensive. Still, well worth 10 hours of my time. Now onto the story DLC (Shadows of Rose)!

I love how Roosevelt's entire career so far is quite literally him exploring the same song over and over again. I swear if you put on any of his albums (I'm listening to "Embrace" right now), they all go in, but at the same time I couldn't tell you one track from another lol

This year's railway bridge commission is made by the local artist Elleanna Chapman. There's an interesting story to it, that one of the local museum curators told me about...

A huge banner draped over the railway bridge in Southend, featuring Britney Spears and the lyrics to her 2004 song 'Do Something' The other side of bridge featuring Beyonce and the lyrics to Haunted, her song off her 2013 self-tilted album

We have a mandatory 'town hall' (hate that term so much) right now and the number of attendees writing 'hi' and 'present' in the chat is just... The session is tracked, what are you guys doing? Is the boot really that delicious?
