Social media algorithms used to be well-crafted to align with our niche interests in order to sell us things, but now, they’re well-crafted to hijack our niche vulnerabilities in order to funnel us down fascist pipelines (while selling us things).

When my father died, I cried big, blobby, angry orphan tears, and I cried bigger, blobbier, even more honest tears of relief. It took no time at all for it to sink in that he was gone. I felt the simultaneous lifting and dropping of burdens both familiar and new that netted a sum of freedom. #grief
