Spent morning observing 1st grade class- joy & movement on the playground, the excitement & play during choice, the earnest responses to the teacher’s questions & provocations; singing along in Spanish… & music, song, gentle words to move the day along. As I left - they were crafting stories. ❤️
I miss the taxi line at JFK ( the whistle!), browsing for dresses at a department store, paper menus, little hardware shops where the owner scales a ladder to find you mosquito coils…
