Yesterday I sent a letter from Kyiv. In it, I looked at three wartime accounts from WWII to find an answer to what we call the middle of a war. Each letter can be the last one. And it’s a reality we live in here.

I do believe that we can (and should) notice beauty even in challenging times. It won’t heal us or work magic. But beauty can be something positive we need right now. Seen in Kyiv.

You may know (or not) that I’ve been keeping a diary since the first minutes of the full-scale war. It’s a standalone document I never share, where I write letters to someone in the future. My point is that what we are all doing now will be judged in the future. We often forget about that.
