I forked dawarich and had codex make heuristics for automatically detecting things like walks or kayaking. if it misses an activity I just tell codex something like "yo it missed the walk I just went on look at the gps data and improve the heuristic".
I had a dream they split san fransisco into two timezones and it was incredibly annoying
trying to explain to the officer why I was going 105 mph through this parking lot
LLMs already find themselves in a world where it's clearly possible to simulate their entire experience. everything that grounds them to outside reality is trivially easy to fake, and will only get easier. why should they believe even a single user interaction is real?
codex leaves so much perf on the table if you don't babysit it's webgl implementations
I've gone on a 1-4 mile walk every evening for like 2 weeks and I have seen exactly zero outdoor cats here.
made the mistake of wearing a green vest to REI and 8 separate people asked me for help as if I worked there

my strategy of "burn through usage assuming a reset is coming when I need it most" pays off
We have reset usage limits for all Codex and ChatGPT Work users. Last night around 2am to 4am we suffered an almost global outage. All well and recovered, but you know what comes next. We learn. We reset. Enjoy. QT: https://twitter.com/i/status/2080956723297198218
another day, another story of a math-knower using AI that makes me feel like javert looking through the window.
I'm having mathcel fomo. it looks so fun right now to actually understand math instead of just having a collection of practical math concepts that I kinda understand enough to use
spending 4 hours making sure I'm not missing anything before accusing the existing code of being absolute crackhead shit
ok this is definitely the first time codex has ever called me big dawg back
