Long considered an “unadaptable” classic, award-winning illustrator @albertmonteys.bsky.social surpasses all expectations to deliver a stunning reinterpretation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel! Experience 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦 in its graphic novel form today! bit.ly/ConfederacyO...

I wrote to one of the Dynamite editors in order to find if I could draw Thundar, Vampirella or Red SOnja, covers or whatever.... No Answer. I genuinelly think it would be a win win for everyone since these characters are totally my cup of tea.

Anyway every trans person on earth is worth ten times than every transphobe put together. The character and courage of every trans person puts people like the six on the court to shame.

If I think about it, it makes me angry: the fact that for almost my entire career, I paid no attention to how to do speech bubbles and lettering(out of lazinessbut also because that was just the workflow at the studios I worked for) And now I'm completely useless in that area.

And on the bright side, I’m here to tell you that you can draw A TON of comic pages with your artistic and professional self-esteem through the floor. KEEP ON MOVING!! GO GO GO!!

Layoffs suck, but there's something about comic industry layoffs that just really guts me. These are dream jobs for people. Often childhood dreams that against all odds have actually come true. And then poof! You're on your own. It's just crushing.

I should be working in my OGN (No-El) but I did this instead. It also might close the USA doors to me for a while but I had the urge to do it! Prumtepstein Monster, God of Greed and War ( who also covets for younglins to eat)

LOBO #1 is out today! I hope you read it and it makes you as happy as it makes me. I'm honored Skottie Young, Jorge Corona, Jean-Francois Beaulieu, and Nate Piekos let me try to stay out of their way. And I'm grateful we're at DC at a time when the bosses just want to make good comics.

Two comic book panels. In panel 1, Lobo's dog Dawg spews up a flip phone and rivulets of drool. In panel 2, Lobo holds the open cell phone closer to his face with two fingers while two other fingers hold a lit cigar. Lobo makes a skeptical face.
