The chair of the House GOP's campaign arm told Republican lawmakers to stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash over the cuts undertaken by President Donald Trump's administration.

It is really hard to watch people willfully tear down an infrastructure that allowed us to double lifespans, drastically reduce poverty, and become one of the richest countries in the world.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're sending their best. They're sending firefighters to help solve American problems. They're bringing fire fighting uniforms. They're bringing fire fighting equipment. They're bringing kittens down from trees. And all, I assume, are good people."

Can we just admit that we NEED immigrants for our economy to run, from agriculture to high tech? We’re a goddamn nation of immigrants, aren’t we? Let’s be proud of our immigrant heritage!

Last year, Lake Forest, Illinois displayed a menorah for the 8 nights of Hanukkah. This year, the city has decided to only display the menorah for a few hours. Removing the menorah, a symbol of hope and resilience, sends a bad message: that Jewishness is something to be hidden away.
