I don’t use AI in my work and never have. Got along fine without it before, have not had a single positive experience with it through others. Genuinely wonder what folks that are AI dependent are doing all day other than descending deeper into the bubble.

Around 8 million books were lost, including the entire print runs of The Magos by Dan Abnett and The Infinite and the Divine by @robertrath.bsky.social from Varvar Publishing, the official Black Library publisher in Ukraine.
I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

Mark Harris@markharris.bsky.social · 3d agoThat said, don't overlook a much smaller but significant box-office phenomenon: The proshot of Hadestown grossing $18 million--more than Hamilton made--feels like a very clear and positive statement about the viability of these straight-from-the-stage special events. Expect more.
This also just seems to be part of human psychology in pandemics. We spent a big part of the last episode in our 1918 Flu Pandemic series asking why people didn’t memorialize or even discuss the flu afterward. Felt like a big mystery at the time, but we’re doing the exact same thing with Covid.

A friend of mine argues that Trump generally manic-posts when he’s stuck in the situation room bored and waiting for something to happen, i.e. he thinks it’s correlated with Trump ordering military stakes and looking at his phone while waiting for them to be carried out
