I'm working on chonkit again after a looooong hiatus and added the beginnings of an image gallery attachment. The CSS snap point powered carousel was an interesting challenge but I think I've finally got something good! (I know the static images are super low res atm I'm going to tackle that next)

I have not been following the absolute latest developments of CSS as closely as I have in the past but this is *already* a major issue for large scale web apps. I always hated when debugging perf issues where all you'd get is a big block of "layout" or "compositing layers" with no deeper insight.

I have a vague worry that, as we put more and more computation into CSS, web devs are going to end up with performance issues that are difficult to trace to their source compared to JS solutions. The answer is to surface this in DevTools I guess.

Just finished up the campaign to First Light. Was pretty consistently impressed with the storytelling throughout but that high bar it established made me disappointed with the final act(s). It felt incomplete & straightforward compared to the thought & care the story had towards the beginning.

Waymos, especially on the highway, still get A TON of attention in the Bay Area. When I turn to look at the cars next to mine it’s not uncommon to see an entire family with their phones out looking back.

I'm no pundit so this is kind of a shot in the dark — but this shutdown reminds me of Xbox shutting down Tango Gameworks and the common thread between the two is that the teams were "between games" when they were shut down. I think these shutdowns might be more about bad timing :/

BREAKING: PlayStation is shutting down Bluepoint Games, the studio responsible for modern remakes of classic games such as Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, Bloomberg News has learned. A shocking end for a well-respected studio.
