I played the first three levels of Bubsy for SNES this morning. He coyly asks, “What could possibly go wrong?” EVERYTHING. It all went wrong. Fall damage, flying eggs, locked rooms that fill with water, banana peels, cars that trap you inside, and a running speed you’d have to be insane to use.
I’ve never liked Sector Z, and I don’t think a run would be complete without using both the Blue Marine and the Landmaster. Step on the gas!

The number of people and creatures (in this case, the Chief of Police) that just harass Ness at every opportunity is astounding.
Persona 4 Revival feels like it has a crazy-long marketing lead up. Every week there’s another trailer, gameplay dev, or character spotlight video. I’m excited about this game, and the videos are getting me pumped, but February feels so far off for this much coverage now.

I am in love with this book. Kingfisher creates an entire world out of The Fall of the House of Usher but restrains the plot and its characters so that it remains propulsive, with all the delicious, hand-over-mouth melodrama of the age. It is an homage and an alien new growth. Absolute stunner.
