i see some trans women talk about reflexively giving men "The Nod" in public. my advice for fixing that: stop making eye contact with men personally, i don't even look at men i don't know. in fact, when a man tries to talk to me in public, i pretend i didn't hear him if i can

a trans woman should be allowed to have opinions that are at least as problematic as those held by the average cis woman before anyone feels entitled to demonize her

i get uncomfortable when someone who doesn't talk to me regularly apologizes for not doing so. my understanding was probably just that we aren't close like that and it's fine. if they apologize, then it feels like maybe their understanding is that we ARE close like that, and it's NOT fine? :/

the first time i encountered a trans woman who didn't know what AGP was, i cried. i didn't need to learn what it was. i came up with the same concept, when i was a child, just to hate myself with the idea that a trans woman could justโ€ฆ never think that way about herselfโ€ฆ it's wonderful to me
