Qifrey, who is an art teacher, went to the infirmary because he was feeling sick. Olly is a designer who works in a shared building with the school so he popped by to visit Olly: Aren’t you a teacher? Take care of yourself. Qifrey coughs: Ollyyy Olly gentle moves Qifrey’s hair away from his eyes Alaira (gym teacher) walks by: Man it’s chilly She hears a muffled conversation coming from the infirmary. Qifrey’s replies are non audible Olly: I know it tastes bad but you need to swallow it Olly: Come on, you can do it Olly: Swallow swallow! Olly: Ah don’t spit it out! Alaira walks in and sees Olly patting Qifrey with his left hand while a sus white substance coats his left hand. Qifrey’s replies is trembling and coughing. She gives Olly a questioning look Olly: Alaira! Wait! It’s not what it looks like! Olly: Tell her Qifrey! Qifrey succumbs to his fever and passes out Alaira: What are you doing in public! Young Qifrey is holding a dragon egg and is walking in a snowy field when he and his mom are attacked. He runs away towards the forest while she dies on the spot. He might be around 4 here? He and his family raise dragons to sell to other people. They’re kind of like traveling merchants. Young Qifrey is hiding in the forest when the dragon egg hatches. Approx 10 years since Qifrey’s family was attacked he and Olly wandered around together being taken in by random families. As they got older the help they received became more scares. Qifrey is thinking about his original dream and the thought makes him sad. Qifrey is sitting in a tree sulking Qifrey: Olly… Olly: What’s wrong? Qifrey: they said I’ll never become a dragon rider… because of my eye. Olly: That’s silly! You have me. You’re already dragon rider!Qifrey: That’s sweet of you Olly but I don’t think you’re big enough to carry me. Olly looks bewildered and hurt Olly: Just you wait. One day I’ll grow up to be bigger than you and wherever you want to go I’ll take you there. Olly takes Qifrey’s hands into his.
