Every time I try to work on myself and grow I feel disconnected from those close to me, despite of my best efforts not to. Then, every time I've pursued periods of self refinement, I've entered a period of solitude, and I don't know what this means or how to get around it.

Sounds about right, I value integrity very highly. Hypocrisy and inconsistency, although inevitable in everyone's life, agitate me more than anything — especially when it is I who is the hypocrite!

Is it not the case that the more you love life the harder it is to find a romantic partner? — for every moment spent with them ultimately is an affair with the one you love the most. Therein lies the question: can you love someone to this extent?
