Today, with Rep. Ramirez, Rep. Garcia, Rep. Simon, and One Fair Wage, I led my first bill to raise the minimum wage to $25 an hour. No one can afford to live on less. I fought for $15 in NJ—now we take this fight national for $25 an hour to create an economy for all!

While companies are reporting record-high earnings, working people are struggling to survive. Minimum wage is not a living wage.

Civil rights are under attack and so are the people who defend them. Groups that fight hate and discrimination help ensure we can live, work, vote, and be ourselves safely. Rewriting history and weakening these protections puts everyday freedoms at risk. But intimidation won’t work.

Yesterday, we celebrated the 56th Earth Day, reminding us what collective action can achieve. Earth day is a call to keep pushing for solutions that lower costs, expand clean energy, and protect public health in the legacy of landmark legislation like the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act. 🌍
