In addition to buying postcards at the flea market I couldn't abstain from buying two loose photographs of Hong Kong. It's rather sad when someone's personal collection ends up in a big box with random loose papers.
Today I spent time at a flea market in Haifa looking for postcards for Patreon reward paintings. Got some international ones too. The flea market is daily, but the most active day is Saturday. Unlike Jaffa, there's more "practical" stuff like washers in addition to "trinkets".
The end part of this video, in which the cult being discussed managed to smear an anti-cult humanitarian activist up to the level of governments, all thanks to endless streams of tiktoks and videos, reminds me of something (i.e. anything "Israel" online). www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zLC...

There's one thing on which it seems I can't find any agreement with American and overall western progressives. It's a bit hard to postulate but I'll try. What I propose, is the argument that the negative feelings towards a country or ethnicity people experience might not necessarily be down to news,
It's been reported that about 400 Israelis living abroad were not listed in the electoral lists. After advocating by Gilad Kariv of Democrats, the "deadline" of updating their data in the electoral database was lengthened (previous "deadline" was Aug. 4, new one is Aug. 7) www.gov.il/he/pages/kne...

If I say that I won't pay the departure tax then Japan has to let me live there!
ICYMI: On July 1, Japan raised its departure tax and visa fees to help fund overtourism measures, while lowering passport fees for its own citizens the same day. With the yen this weak, though, visiting Japan remains a bargain.

Neo-Nazis surround Bulgarian hotel, threaten Jewish teens with salutes and 'Sieg Heil' chants
Black-clad extremists blocked entrances and shouted ‘Sieg Heil’ at youth delegations from Israel and Italy, returning after police left as European officials demanded prosecutions

Things that are missed by those not following my art accounts:
On August 4, 1926 (1926년 8월 4일), Korean signer Yun Sim-deok (윤심덕) then 29 y.o., and Korean playwright Kim U-jin (김우진) then 28 y.o., jumped to death from the ship Tokujumaru 도쿠주마루 (德壽丸) on route from Shimonoseki to Busan (ink, watercolour, silver, paper 30x40 cm)
Got the comment on img. Not only US ignored our pleads to sanction Russia with Obama's "Russian reset", US literally sends refugees, enemies of Russian regime, back to Russia; but this is totally normal and endlessly ignored by supposed progressives, and cheered, because Israel|Jews are not involved
Forgot to add the link re. Kolokoltsev. This is such an obscure event in the US, no protests, no outrage, that not a single American media wrote about this. x.com/RussiaUN/sta...
"Denying humanity of others" is what can be seen by the American organizations such as "women's march", towards Jews themselves. This of course is seen as justified because something something Israel. People were ignoring|denouncing ADL as "zionist" when it was convenient for them, for decades.
Organic Maps, as I just noticed, not only has Amazigh in addition to Arabic names of localities in Morocco and Algeria, but some of them are displayed trilingual on the map in the first place (img. 1).
I have a tenugui with a kagome pattern and I often love confusing people by highlighting that it's not a star of David, but instead, well, kagome; while also wearing a sudra on my head with not a kagome pattern but a star of David pattern. Both be identical.
The five-pointed star at Kyoto’s Seimei Shrine resembles a Western pentagram, but the two are unrelated. It stands for the Five Elements of Chinese cosmology (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) and serves as a charm against misfortune.
I'm not an American, but I notice that not only that — most prominent emigres would be westerners coming to the US, and obviously it's easier for them. Elon Musk came to US as a Canadian; John Oliver as British. People also often assume that people with "nonwhite" names & "looks" must be immigrants.
Just saw an interview of Christian Bale and Thought the Average persons understanding of the immigration system is likely based around celebrities and athletes whom the immigration law has a specific carve out for ( yeah go figure the Billionare sports owners where able to lobby their own laws)
high difficulty level: keeping vegan in Japan extra high difficulty level: keeping halal in Japan nightmare difficulty level: keeping kosher in Japan
NEW: Traveling to Japan while wrestling with a gluten allergy? It's tricky but doable. Here's what you need to know, including everywhere that gluten hides in Japanese cuisine, what's safe vs. what isn't, & how to handle eating outside cities.
Also via leisure browsing of flighradar24 I found out that Australia has a mountain called "Mount Kosciuszko" and that it is the "highest mountain in the mainland of the Australian continent".
Via leisure browsing of flightradar24 I noticed that Namibia has cute airplanes
Must've been a Habsburg monarch judging by the colours!
Found a bunch of monarch caterpillars this afternoon. I love these guys.
I'm not an American and will never be allowed to the US, and when I mention for example that when I became a refugee 4 yrs. ago and was denied by EU and fled to Israel, I'm often met with Americans going "you chose to be a genocidal settler — you instead could've come to USA, we have many Jews here"
It's genuinely a massive problem that the median voter both 1) believes "criminal illegal immigrants" to be an astronomically more serious threat than they actually are, and 2) believes that the legal immigration process is substantially easier than it actually is.
Blerb! youtu.be/PjL9H0hrtSc Checking out the new Colossal Cave collector's edition PC big box by @sirrandall.yeold.press and @drguillotine.bsky.social I ordered the ice edition but then they sent over this awesome WOODGRAIN edition and I mean, yeah, there's no way I wasn't going to show this
I find restricting replies and quotes an overall negative. The first means that the person wants to only read comments by those who e.g. follow them, which is fair, but then if it is an open profile this looks as a blackmail, i.e. "inflate my follow count to be able to reply".
In USSR there was a phrase, spoken derogatorily, "they hired them on vacancies!", i.e. that they hired people based on vacancies which was seen being worse as hiring via nepotism. The "west" simply catches up, where nepotism is the only workable solution, vacancies becoming more&more irrelevant.

Any mil action of Israel is considered evil by definition as the sheer existence of Israel is, so as any politician of Israel is considered evil. Standing Together is listed in BDS. Just saying on Oct 7 "why do you cheer" got me a "settler" label by a UK publisher who on Oct 6 asked me for more arts
Would be really cool if the organizations that could call out actual antisemitism centered around the state of Israel - migrants as pawns of an Israeli-led Great Replacement conspiracy - had not burned all their credibility defending Netanyahu and the IDF from highly credible war crimes charges.
"three certification tiers" Bachelor of Maid Masters of Maid PhD of Maid
ICYMI: The Japan Butler Association is opening what it calls Japan's first systematic "maid school." Twelve Zoom sessions, ¥290,000 tuition, and three certification tiers aim to revive professional domestic service. (No "moe kyun-kyun" involved.)
Nothing too surprising, this is basically the messaging about Israel globally (i.e. "Israel refuses peace but also should not exist")
The same Russian outlets that regularly dedicate significant attention to falsely claiming that ‘Ukraine is refusing peace’, today took a break from that narrative and returned to very openly discussing the ‘erasure’ of Ukraine as a state.
The guy tried to run for president while being very careful in not to anger the regime with his rhetoric, but his anti-war messaging and the public support made him a target anyway.
