Yvette Clarke for Congress

@voteyvette.bsky.social

Lifelong public servant. Progressive champion. Proudly representing NY-9 (Central + Southern Brooklyn) in Congress.

Brooklyn Democrats deserve a county organization that respects its members and operates with fairness and transparency. Altering the rules and/or who gets a say just before a leadership election raises very serious concerns about the integrity of the process. nysfocus.com/2026/08/20/b...

Tonight, I am grateful to the voters of New York's 9th Congressional District for once again placing their trust in me. I am honored to earn the Democratic nomination and look forward to continuing the fight for the community that raised me.

Thank you, Sheryl Lee Ralph, for your support! I’ve spent my career fighting to give every person in Brooklyn a voice in D.C. Now, I’m running for re-election to make sure their needs are met. Early voting is open from June 13-21 and Election Day is June 23. Visit vote.nyc for more information.

Black voters built this democracy through generations of struggle, sacrifice, and courage. We will not allow extremists to dilute Black political power or rig our democracy because they fear our voices. We’re fighting back in the courts, in Congress, and in our communities.

Donald Trump has unleashed terror in communities across this country. From gutting healthcare to targeting communities of color and escalating ICE raids, this administration has made clear it does not care about working people. We must always stand with everyday people.

The Supreme Court’s devastating decision in Louisiana v. Callais pulls America backward. Not since Jim Crow have Black voters faced this level of disenfranchisement. We must take every step necessary to protect voters and push back against this extremist decision.

On this Earth Day, I’m proud to have earned the support of the New York League of Conservation Voters. It’s a reminder that protecting our planet isn’t optional, it’s urgent. We have to recommit, not just today, but every day, to fighting for our environment.

Today, I launched my reelection campaign for Congress. These are trying times. Prices are up, our democracy is under attack, and we have a President dragging us into a reckless war of choice. But I’m ready to fight back and serve the people of Brooklyn. When we fight, we win!

I’m proud to be born and raised in Brooklyn—and it’s the honor of my life to fight for the community that raised me. Grateful to City & State NY for highlighting my work. I’ll keep fighting everyday to deliver for the people of Brooklyn and communities across this country.

I want to congratulate Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton on becoming the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Illinois. This is a significant moment that calls for unity, and I look forward to her victory in November and welcoming her to the Congressional Black Caucus.

Congratulations to Adrienne Adams on becoming Governor Kathy Hochul’s running mate for Lieutenant Governor. A mom, a grandmother, and a battle-tested leader as former NYC Council Speaker, she’s ready to deliver for New York families. This is the leadership we need in Albany!

New York’s history was shaped by trans leaders like Marsha P. Johnson and so many others who fought for freedom long before it was safe. On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the lives stolen by hate and stand firm in protecting the rights, safety, and dignity of every trans person. #TDOR

The administration wants applause for ending a shutdown they manufactured. Please. They showed us exactly what happens when people who resent government try to run it. The CBC will continue to fight for stability, dignity, and the communities they neglect. #CBC

Congratulations to @ZohranMamdani. His leadership represents the compassion, courage, and progressive vision New York needs in this moment. I look forward to working with him to deliver for our communities and move our city forward, together.

Working people are lining up at food banks nationwide. Federal workers have been locked out of jobs or not paid for a month. All this suffering so the Trump admin and their allies in Congress can break the Affordable Care Act. Let them hear from you! https://bit.ly/4ovmkjK

Graphic with bold text that reads: "Fund the government. Fix the health care crisis. Put working people first."

Early this morning, our city still plunged into darkness, I set off to walk the Brooklyn Bridge. As the sun came up, we were joined by canvassers, labor leaders, elected officials, and working people — a movement to bring a new day to our city. Tomorrow, we win it together.

Zohran, Tish James and Brad Lander lead a procession of hundreds walking across the Brooklyn Bridge at dawn. Tish James, Brad Lander, Tony Simone and Rita Joseph wait for the march on the bridge.
