The annual Gastown Grand Prix brought colourful spandex and a blaze of cycling excitement the neighbourhood tonight.

To be clear, Vancouver wasn’t the host city for this Mexico game. Vancouver’s biggest success of the #WorldCup, even as a stand-out co-host city, isn’t in the stadium. It’s in the free civic space. It’s on Granville Street, and the many other watch-spots and people-places around the city & region.
