fun guy pixeldie.com for long form wackgameboy.zone for every GB/GBC game I also talk about card games on the youtube

for some reason this app tried to lock me out for an age check, then just let me in anyway a few hours later??? I am not giving fucking bluesky a shred of docs, place ain't worth it if I vanish off of this platform soon y'all know why

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if calling it a remaster is what it takes to get reprints of old editions of games that deserve it? fine, cool, go full video games industry if you gotta Arkham 2nd Ed is an all-timer and should be perpetually in print, this is a good thing

a screenshot of "Arkham Horror Remastered"'s cover from the FFG announcement of their "vault" re-releases. there's 1920's shooting a gribbly. you know what AH is about prob

that splatoon raiders game is really something, or more accurately a lot of little things feels less like a traditional looter shooter and more like a super abridged Monster Hunter, but minus crafting? problem is I'm not 100% sure the progression and structure fully gel for me. still fun though!

A Splatoon Raiders win screen. Big Man (a giant stingray) is leaping from a small mech towards a treasure chest in a sort of belly flop, with the player character hanging on

I'm a couple hours into AI The Somnium Files and thus far the only thing Date has detected in this alleged detective game is a receptionist's cleavage

played the new @solisgamestudio.bsky.social release, Six-Sided Seas. 2p push your luck with just a bit more decision space than most of those. 3 win conditions (money, glory, violence) seems like a lot, but the game is a whole 20 mins so it doesn't overwhelm. super charming, fits in a playmat tube!

Six-Sided Seas in play. There are dice on ship spaces, as well as two islands I took over. My ship is on 2/10 HP, but I plundered so much that I won by a hair, which is good bc I was super dead next turn.

Xbox news is as horrible as expected, but my biggest takeaway is them wanting to up user counts from a billion a year to a billion a day that's the kind of insanity that doesn't normally escape the slide deck we're just making up numbers, saying them aloud, and calling it Leadership (tm)

played and enjoyed the new addition of Samurai, Hanami! the game is as excellent as ever, but I question these power cards. they're wildly uneven in power, and one (pictured) doesn't even work as-is (there aren't 1 power player tiles in those types) happy with the game but will be ignoring those

Hanami endgame, 2p Tokyo map covered in red and yellow tiles. I lost by 1 in the tiebreaker!Rainy Day card

"Flip and 1 or 2 strength flower, lantern, or onigiri player tile facedown."

finally had time to bang out a playthrough of the new Star Fox, played the same route for comparison I'm a bit mixed on it? it plays great, and it makes several changes that I'd overall say are positive (Slippy rules now!), but it def lacks some charm and the performances are a bit too reserved

Not fully back in the writing swing (moving cross country is hard!), but I played the new Star Fox demo and had to return for a sanity check. backloggd.com/u/Vysetron/r...

been playing old Star Foxes in prep for the new one (not Adventures, too long) and I've realized that if I do a ranked piece I'd be immediately accused of rage baiting related, god Star Fox Command is so damn good. the true Star Fox 3, a game with New Ideas, almost all of which work!
