So. Turns out my sister's job did their best to make it practically impossible to pursue them for wrongful discrimination so there's nothing she can do except accept their settlement terms. We'll see about doing a proper update in the next week or so, but in the meantime please share.

My sister is disabled and waiting for surgery, and her work have just terminated her contract because of the time she'll need off to recover, so any orders from or donations to my ko-fi (see pinned) for the foreseeable will go to her, and we've just set up a GFM. www.gofundme.com/f/fired-whil...

Jana is a young artist in Gaza — and today is her 16th birthday! I’ve known Jana since she was 14, and it’s been a gift to watch her skill grow. She is truly incredible, and deserves to hone her craft without worrying about how her family will pay for food. gofund.me/683d03fbd

a traditional painting by Jana of a woman in a beautifully embroidered thobe with a keffiyeh wrapped around her head, holding a small olive tree a digital drawing by Jana of a woman in hijab reading inside a mosque a traditional painting by Jana captioned “return drawing”, of a woman in a white and red thobe picking olives in a lush landscape.

If you truly loved your country you'd be out there getting heat stroke for her birthday. By the way we just finished building a new data center in your town without asking, so you can't run your AC anymore, or any other appliances for that matter. You're dizzy and want some water? oh sweetie

this sucks. nashville zoo is one of the most modern, humane, and accessible zoos in the country. if you care about conservation, critters, and science, go sign and go raise hell. nash zoo is also a bastion of science and equality as a southern workplace. please please protect it.

They’re trying to build a data center next to the Nashville Zoo Petition here, if you’re so inclined: c.org/KxhXznzBcD

Nashville Zoo

We're asking our community to stand with us in protecting the animals, habitats, people and future of Nashville Zoo.
A proposed 69,000-square-foot data center is planned for property directly adjacent to the Zoo. While developers claim the facility will have no impact, no environmental studies or impact assessments have been conducted to evaluate potential effects on our animals, visitors, staff, or the surrounding community.
Data centers consume enormous amounts of electricity and water; straining power grids, depleting natural resources, and damaging our watershed. With nothing more than the word of a profit-seeking developer, how are we to know this new data center will not lead to irreversible damage to the animals we exist to protect?
We cannot afford to find out years from now how this facility has negatively impacted our 1.4 million annual visitors, our local community, or the 3,000 animals entrusting us with their care. We are calling on the Nashville community to join us in our fight to stop this data center from being built, now.
Please sign our petition and say yes to the Zoo by saying no to the new data center

Includes photos of a big cat at the zoo and a photo showing how close the data center would be to the zoo

anker & the group have put together a beautiful free zine in support of the queer community in South Sudan, and i've contributed an illustration for it too (below). give it a read, print out the zine to share in person, and consider sending a little direct support the community's way. <3

a black & white mixed media piece. the image is framed by heavily edited, fragmented pieces of a photo taken of a forest. inside the frames is a watercolor painting depicting outwards pointing thorns loosely coiling around the center. at the center is a digitally painted orb in soft diffused shadow.
