I worked on a cover for a kids' novel about sorcery this spring, and it's finally been revealed! The title translates to "The Day I Failed My Sorcery Exam". Written by Jean-Philippe Morasse.

The previous batch of comic pages took forever even outside of Parsnip's medical emergency, so I'm super relieved that I cut this next bath down form 8 to 4 and I'm already inking them! The batch after it is going to be the remaining 4 pages, and I hope I speed through those ones, too. 😭

This month's update is gonna be a day or two late, still playing catch-up after having to force-feed a cat every couple of hours for half a week. I just have 3 more pages to shade, and no idea how fast I can or will accomplish this. 💀
I have comics I need to be finishing up colouring but also I am currently making a giant pasta salad for lunches for the week, and then I am making strawberry ice cream that needs to chill in the next hour or 2 if I want it to be ready for after dinner. Too much to do & not enough time to do it in!
I love the farmer's market so much! $10 for 3lbs of garlic scapes, and now I have made two giant jars of pesto and put the last lb of scapes into the freezer, pre-chopped, to use for more pesto or maybe a stirfry in the near future. We are doing subs for dinner tonight, it's gonna be so delicious!
Parsnip is home form the vet and has just set the record for the Medically Most Expensive cat in this house, de-throning Ham by about a thousand dollars. Look at this beautiful idiot, and wish him a speedy recovery!
Parsnip is home from the vet for now! The anti-nausea meds they gave him smell like sour cherries and Ham is afraid of him because he smells weird. They hydrated him via IV, and our job now is to get him eating. If he won't, we go back in for an emergency slot appointment tomorrow.

Every time I sit down to finish inking this batch of pages, Parsnip commits a crime loudly enough that it warrants investigating and I have to get right back up. >:(

It took the entire day, but I am currently moving the final psd folder to my desktop so it can be moved to the new drive. It's 78gb of older wallpapers, so this one is going to take A While, but I can at least relax while I do it. Tomorrow I'll be amalgamating it with the stuff from the other drive.

Parsnip managed to yeet my main external drive off my desk and onto the floor and the back popped off of it. It looked fine, the back of the casing popped right back on, no visible damage. But it was NOT fine. Not looking for advice, just ranting!
