The poison of corruption is that once leaders embrace it, *anyone* who stands up for the law—and basic ethics—sees they are a dupe. And the damage is permanent.
And this is related too. Where do “the organizations that bring young [rightwing] staffers to DC” get their money? From the same billionaire class. The “organizations” are often thinktanks. That includes the antiscience thinktanks like Paragon. Billionaire money is crushing the public interest.
