Most people don't know this, but I run a nonprofit in the fandom space. And with AO3 being down (it's the AO3Pocalypse, y'all!) the last 8 days my nonprofit has almost doubled the number of users. So that, plus the election, has left me exhausted.

I think my favorite moment last night was Rachel Maddow kind of happily losing it when she said, "Someone just gave me a quote from Trump. But I threw it away, because he's now irrelevant." And then she cackled. More of this energy, please!

I think people who depended on voting by mail are in for a shock tomorrow, because of the USPS. I've worked elections the last 14 years, and my neighborhood Dems normally have a voting rate between 75% to 80%. This year, so far, we're hovering at 40%.

Updating my advice given timing: —If you already have a mail ballot, you can put it in a drop box. —If you must mail it, & are in a state with a grace period (=rule is postmark by Election Day), you should go to counter & watch them postmark. —If your state has no grace period... it is late.

*so important*: if you’re voting by mail, assume the USPS will delay because it’s its policy. You can: —put it in drop box —go to counter to watch them postmark in front of you —if you’re dropping it in a mailbox, do it VERY EARLY.
