Regarding my current situation with discord and my discord server.

Hello, guys.

As most of you are aware my discord account got compromised two weeks ago, I managed to get it back from the hacker themselves. But discord decided they had to suspend it an hour or two after I got it back.

That same night I immediately reached out to discord support about it, they said they were escalating to someone who handles those situations and then it was radio silence for a week.

After 8 days I figured I needed to just give up on that and make a new account, so I made a new account with the email my previous one used. About 2 hours after that I got contacted by discord again telling me they can't restore my account if I made a new one with the same email, so I changed it and told them so.
Fast forward to today, a week since they asked me to change the email on the new account, I have received zero communication from them so far.

Last week I figured if I didn't hear back from them for another week I'd just make a new server, since I can't properly manage this one anymore, and I'd let you all know about it so those of you who want can migrate to it. After I do that I'll be putting this server in read-only for a bit and eventually getting rid of it.

The new server still isn't quite ready to bring everyone in yet, but it's been sitting in stand-by since last Saturday. I'll keep you updated.

I know moving to a new server sucks and I wish I didn't have to, but discord is not really giving me much of an option anymore

Digging deeper, however, Feint discovered the real problem: a Blueprint actor with a naming mismatch buried inside the map's metadata. It was built to look like an ambient controller, but an outdated internal name tipped off the researcher.

According to Feint, the Blueprint is built to run automatically the moment the map loads. When it does, it injects a batch file into the gamer's Documents folder on their Windows PC. Not good.

Once triggered, the batch file sneakily launches a hidden PowerShell process with bypassed execution policy before calling out to an outside server to download a second script.

Until Valve confirms that the map is malicious and pulls it from the Workshop library, your best bet is to avoid any new Meccha Chameleon maps, especially if they lack reviews and/or have comments disabled.

If you've downloaded custom maps recently, it's probably worth running a PC scan with your favorite antivirus. You can also check your Documents folder for any strange .bat files hanging around.

A simple reference sheet for my mascot character, Vega Del Mar. She is a Novasaur, a special kind of humanoid dinosaur from an alternate Earth timeline where they became a space ferrying race. Novasaurs are all one singular species, but they come in morphs. She is a Parasaurolophus type of morph, notable by the crest on her head.

Her body is teal blue with a light green underbelly and highly on her crest, which is dark greyish/blue. Her eyes are deep pink with star highlights in them. Her "racing" outfit is white, black, and pink, with pink gloves and pink boots. She has a pink V on her chest and an iconic pink neckerchief with white stars on it.

There is a mysterious shadow here. Who could that be?
