Got the last roll of Montreal film back. A roll that I risked by using the Olympus' built in light meter, which I had not yet tested. The fact that it turned out well is great since it means I can probably trust that. These shots were mostly around NDG.
ME: *writing in my journal with the sole aim of pissing off future historians and archaeologists* I returned to my home - which is built in the usual style - by the normal way, and prepared and ate dinner in the way I often but not always do

Got another roll of film back. This was just a personal day walking around downtown. I went to my alma matter, McGill, because I do like the variety of architecture there.

Very excited. I shot seven rolls of film at UMAD. It has been a minute since I have shot high ISO film so I was not sure if any of them were going to turn out. Suffice to say from these previews (waiting for the download... big files), I am happy.
One of my all-time favorite rules, from Pea Ridge (1980). The designer's great-great-grandfather fought in the battle, and if his unit takes damage you roll a die to see if he survives. If he dies, the designer is never born, and the game doesn't exist, and so automatically ends in a draw.

The final day of UMAD 2026. Unsurprisingly, 0-2 in +R (even though I picked top tier Bridget). Watched SamSho, 2XKO, KOF15, and Tokon, to name a few, and played a few sets of Xrd, doing my best to maintain the tradition of Xrd casuals always go to the end of tournaments.
Day 2 of UMAD. Started off with some casuals against Arcfieri and then France. Then watched a lot of bbtag while photographing top eight. Then went 1-2 in mbaacc where I faced France again. Then played some, photographed a lot. Here are some samples. Bonus picture in reply to this.

Had fun revisiting my alma matter with its blend of brutalist architecture and more old fashioned castle like vibes.
Got another roll of film back that I shot with the new camera. I really like how this one came out because Ektar is know for saturated colors and it really shows here. At first glance I thought there was weird light leak giving that red color in the bottom right. Nope, just the bark of madrones.
Technology is funny sometimes. Air Canada app tells me I need to update if I want to use it. Phone is too old to run updated version. Have the outdated app still. Apparently it can still give me notifications that my bag is loaded/unloads etc. I am in Montreal.
At Vancouver Airport waiting to board. The agent who hand checked at security my film complimented my selection.
There can be some fun surprises when you realize you did not fully unpack your back from your previous trip. In this case, I found a roll of film I never shot at Frosty that happened to be one that I wanted to bring. So I have an extra. Yay.
48 hours until I am seated on a plane, waiting to take off for Montreal. Feels so far away but also way too soon.
