Just wanted to share one of my favorite photos of one of my favorite artists, taken by another one of my favorite artists. This is Jim Flora, in glorious tweed - taken by his dear friend Gene Dietch in 1970. Style goals for me in my golden years. By the way, Jim is 56 here.

Reprint? Nice! I remember some time ago someone had scanned the entire book and had it available as an interactive site where you could go through all the pages, including the incredible artwork. Not sure if it's around anymore. They might've used Flash at the time, so...yeah 🤷‍♂️

This reminded me that Jack Kerouac was a construction worker on the Pentagon in 1942. (This photo was when he enlisted later that same year in the US Naval Reserve.)

DYK? There was an exhibit at the MoMA titled UPA: Form in the Animated Cartoon and it ran from June to September of 1955. These are some of the exhibit photos. Besides the exhibit, they also screened some familiar cartoons as well as premiering five new cartoons from the studio. #wardsmorguefile
