Now I've got all 4(!) of the ONE prime changers it's like, well are we going to be using this level of shine again anytime soon? Trion's purple paint is delish. I want to imagine it's a tester for dealing with Transmetals

What are we doing with this Stargate episode then? Go to a planet where there's no fun aliens, it's just an excuse for a genghis khan vibe story where the only woman on the team is treated as an object and nothing else really happens. How dare you do this to Dr. Sam Carter
I didn't post my TFN paper haul yet! I'm just thinking about @wadapan.bsky.social handing Jim Sorensen his Instructions and Jim sitting there reading the whole thing and chuckling for an amount of time that almost began to be too much
Backstop is such a funny little guy. Is he good? Not really. I could detect this in 2005. But there are still Cybertron moulds I haven't experienced. As a rhino he's way better than you expect, as a robot he's basically one of those static pvc wrestlers made for you to imagine grappling with another
Every now and then I remember a pack of trading cards I got bought as a kid that I just haven't retained any information about. What were they? Will I ever see them again? Not any of the big names. Fantasy theming. Painted artwork. Some kind of game. I'll only be able to go "that's it!" on seeing em
Ah dang me bones are aching now, definitely caught something somewhere
What if missinglink Soundwave is so expensive because he's a working mp3 player and they've kept it secret haha (where the hell is that extra 30 quid coming from in 2026 is2g)
Ordered toy Soundwave! At Amiami the price is already ~5000JPY less than what TakaraTomyMall said. Right now works out at £116 before shipping. Which is, like a lot for a Soundwave and a nobody tape don't get me wrong! But not As Bad
Only now realising I didn't see a single stall with any Cyberworld toys at the weekend even though people who make the show were guests
I would like to see actual priced listings before I go nuts shouting "Missinglink Soundwave is How Much??"
Really hoping I'm not getting my first ever case of con crud cos something's not feeling right today
I only saw the toon one at first and got slightly dismayed. Hell yes hell yes
Predictable? Yes. Stunning? Absolutely. The new cassettes make these essential. Never would have called them doing Cybertronian Laserbeak.
Spock gets two hours for lunch
Spock's personal schedule STVI
Now I have him, I can see Armada Cheetor is the ultimate outlier in the line. He can't accept mini-cons at all in robot mode and he can't hold any other weapons! He barely interacts with the ecosystem!
STARGATE INVASIVE THOUGHT: Sam Carter = live action Ritsuko
It's Tracks time! The main thing I'm getting here is the incredible smell of a reissue that's been sealed for 20 years just like when I got Stepper. That particular mix of rubber and diecast. Intoxicating

Hm getting a text from the national grid to say hot weather can make power cuts and if I need the leccy for medical reasons to look at a webpage. I'm sure that's fine and normal
That's the stuff! I nabbed the last G2 Swoop and Sludge set after catching some of the vibe that led me to Grimlock before and I'm glad I did. Not only is Swoop baller, I get to improve one of my favourite toys from years ago and make it relevant all over again. Sludge is here also.
Every year I'm getting more and more glad I got Boss and Scorch in 2014 on like my first ever convention for 30 quid a pop because they just get more and more sought after and expensive each year
Not to mess with stated fact from @chrismcfeely.bsky.social 's great Beast Wars panel, but my memory states I got Tarantulas for my 5th birthday, Jan 98 and got Waspinator the Xmas before, in 97, so either there were figures abroad in the UK in 97 or I've got my whole life story wrong somewhere
since i'm talking about zines today, go make one! preferably printed. collect sketchbook pages, loose drawings, writings, shitty comics. it will teach you about the feel of paper types, spread design, the psychological/narrative of montage. edit at the end. then make another one
I will say I picked up one of the Image tf compendiums at the battersea stall and it was way lighter than IDW would have ever made it. Actually very pleasant to have such an enormous tome feel manageable. I was almost tempted remembering my days with Marvel Essentials.
Plenty of copies left, please make my trip home later more bearable by taking them off me! Jim Sorensen really liked the layout, how's that for a recc
Come and find me at TFNation this year to grab a copy of my new zine LEGENDS OF CYBERTRON, a handbook to the first Legends Class assortment! 24 pages of full colour give you a deep dive on the seminal pocket bot series from 20 years ago! #Transformers
TFNation goers! I have with me FOUR zines to give out, completely FREE! I have been terrible at offering them to people because I don't know who likes LEGO, Pokemon, or my silly comic. And also I've been having too much fun, frankly. Loads of copies of all of them so please come find me today!
