My first visit to #Seattle was August 1999 and I was instantly in love. Fortunately for me, I’ve been wired for rain, clouds and gray skies since childhood so the Big Dark only deepened my love for the city. I don’t recommend making life decisions based on a Seattle summer. I’m an exception.

This trio of short stories ranges from “How Burl Became a Taoist,” with a punchline that made me LOL, “Goblin,” a relationship story about a strange-shaped penis, to “Lady Stetson,” a longer comic about nostalgia and love.
Using spell-check is not knuckling under to AI and leaving typos in your articles and posts is not a virtue to signal. “See? I’m imperfect! I make mistakes and leave them uncorrected to prove myself human!” I respect ideas, but I also respect the coherent expression of ideas. Use spell-check.
I miss @olbermann.bsky.social in my ears on the regular but also hope he’s doing well while being away… for however long that lasts. I miss doing my own podcast, but I also found a lot of serenity and mental health in the space it left behind.
Mastodon is messy and can be a confusing to get started with. It can also be hard to stay engaged there after being collectively addicted to algorithms steering us every which way… but #Mastodon (and its infinite array of #ActivityPub cousins) is THE #federation model that #Bluesky pretends to be.
