Aug 5 // Water Ice The dog days of summer are here - what better way to stay cool than with water ice? For this edition of Wednesday Night Rides, Dan will lead us as we roll past (or near) at least 9 water ice locations in South Philly before ending at Parks on Tap at Wharton Square. We’ll pass:

Jul 22 // Return of Camden + DOOM Ride leader Jessica G returns w/ a reprise of her epic 2025 ride: taking us over the Ben Franklin Bridge to Cramer Hill Waterfront Park in Camden, NJ. We can catch our breath and some sweet views of Philly and the Delaware River before we head back over the bridge.

Reminiscing about that ride. Every @wednightrides.org is a beautiful gathering of humans on bikes but it's special when we can host guests from other places to experience how wonderful our city is. bsky.app/profile/pete...

A magical @wednightrides.org around Philly to see some of our best urban infrastructure! Thx Dan P and Jacob E for creating and leading the ride! Music provided by Chillhop Music fantompower, Danae Greenfield - Reflect chll.to/b9118e62

Jul 8 - PBA District 1 Lanes Continue our City Council district bike tour series in collab w/ our friends @bikeaction.org. Caleb will lead a ride showcasing updates to bike lanes along Lower Moyamensing, Washington, 13th, Vine, Race, 3rd, & Market, all developed since our last District 1 ride 4/24.

Always a bummer when @wednightrides.org is rained out, but it was a good call on weather. I watched The Wild Robot with my family instead. Then after the storm, I went out and retraced the first WNR. Photos: start at Loco Pez, finish at Love City

Jun 10 // 5th Anniversary Wednesday Night Rides turns 5: what started as a small group ride has grown into an incredible community of riders & friends from across the city. We'll celebrate (as we have the last 2 yrs) w/ a nice ride thru FDR Park & Navy Yard before ending at Second District Brewing.

The archivists and nostalgists among you may be pleased to learn I've recently used the Chrome extension "Porto" to migrate all* of the WNR tweets from the website fka Twitter, where the ride started, to Bluesky For example, here's the very first tweet from the @wednightrides handle! 🧵

Three years ago, @peterskim.org led a WNR called "Streets Wide Enough for a Bike Lane" that included this precise stretch of 3rd Street... and now it's a bike lane! Huzzah, huzzah! Thanks to everyone who made this improvement reality.
