Yeah shitty people who will always use slurs are going to appropriate it. Yeah you shouldn’t say ”clanker” as a proxy to slur people’s identity. But you can say clanker to slur AI because it sucks, is an object and doesn’t and shouldn‘t have rights.

Bluesky's incapability to laugh at a joke and move on is undefeated.

This remarkably viral post does neatly capture a change in progressive rhetoric that worries me some, from “it is good for society to help poor people” to “you are poor; you will be helped.” The political appeal of the second thing is obvious. Less obvious, though, is whether it’s always true?

Regardless of public facing commentary, privately they are willing to engage and address questions. And I have appreciated that. Thank you
