With July behind us and August underway, here’s a look back at the casework my team and I worked on over the past month, along with the issues and concerns constituents contacted us about most frequently.

I welcome tonight’s announcement by the PM that he is considering an inquiry - showing it is rightly at the top of his priority list. But this isn’t enough - Survivors need actual commitments.

Great to visit the Crail Festival Putting Green, which is open every day throughout July and August ⛳️ A fantastic summer activity for all ages and a great way to enjoy the festival atmosphere.

Great to visit the Crail Festival Art Exhibition and see the piece 'Day by Day' by Alex Mandova which won an award to mark the festival’s 40th anniversary. The exhibition was a wonderful showcase of creativity and talent - a fantastic celebration of art and community from across the region 🎨👏

It was fantastic to visit the Reediehill Deer Farm yesterday - and an honour to meet Licketysplit of Outlander fame! We had an insightful conversation about the challenges facing Scotland's deer farming sector and the impact Brexit has had on exporting livestock.

Great to meet with representatives from Monzo and @moneyreadyuk.bsky.social just before recess to learn more about how they're supporting customers with their lifetime savings journeys .

As the summer season gets underway, it is vital that our local communities, charities and voluntary organisations get the support they need. These groups provide invaluable services and bring people together, but many are facing increasing pressures and challenges. Read more here: buff.ly/5yjyVrC

On BBC Radio Scotland, we discussed the welfare bill. Cutting benefits is not the answer. We need to address the challenges in our health and social care systems and ensure people receive the support they deserve.

One of the things we spoke about on Radio Scotland's Sunday Show was the impact of Brexit, people's attitudes towards re-joining the EU, and immigration.
