I feel like this is the kinda sign a Phantom Island listener would make. @stevengodfrey.bsky.social The worldwide leader probably did a lot to keep this one out.
this is why i get so annoyed when people call MAHA a movement. public health needs to stop ascribing to them power and popular support they do not have.
This is nuts AND...290 people attended in-person (with another 230 online). Pathetic showing from a small & unpopular but very loud group that has hijacked American public health to our deep detriment.
I'm so grateful for @stevengodfrey.bsky.social and @celebrityhottub.bsky.social talking about Ole Miss-LSU on Phantom Island. I hate that the national perception of that rivalry is going to have the narcissistic stink of Lane when it has always been about the two most chaotic Southern stereotypes.
Would have been 2008 at Ole Miss. Can't remember exactly who we played, but it was very close quarters. I do remember Mary Wise complaining that the students were too close, so we had to move back a row to create space we didn't have. Living in Nebraska now, my wife is stunned by what Gillom was.
Do you remember your first volleyball match? h/t @desertvol.bsky.social
@stevengodfrey.bsky.social As the internet's preeminent Wyoming football knower, is the Cowboys' effort in Bronze Boot turn up the heat on Sawvel?
She might only be 3 months old, but this little girl is gonna know ball. And she even thinks ESPN is about to massively overrate UNC for beating what could be a buns TCU team.
Watching Nebraska volleyball being back is the dichotomy of watching a team that expects perfection. When things aren't exactly right, it is worry over every point. But when it is clicking and they look like a well-oiled machine, it is beautiful to watch.
St. Paul and the Broken Bones. So many people love the sound of 60s and 70s soul music and don't realize there's a band making a modern interpretation of it and putting on a great live show to boot.
what's a band you love that you think should be bigger than they are? for me, it's foxing
Optimist: The cup is half full Pessimist: The cup is half empty Model Railroader: So that cup was made by the Blenko Glass Company in Milton, WV, so it would've been shipped on the C&O to whatever receiver is on this layout.

Why did I have to finally get into soccer the year where Tottenham was in the hunt for the Premier League title Leicester City won? Now I have to deal with Tottenham being Tottenham every season.
Me thinking about Stan Hill stepping a hole in that field when Marshall was going to beat #12 UT in 2003 and 8th grade WV native, Marshall legacy me was gonna be a PROBLEM in my Tennessee middle school the following Monday.
Anyway,
Ole Miss-Jacksonville State. After b2b Cotton Bowls, I watched the Rebs fart out a loss, then had to do a postgame concert with JSU's band for no reason. They were pretty arrogant. I'm amazed there weren't any fights. HM: Marshall-WVU 2010. But I wasn't feeling mad. I couldn't feel anything
“What’s the maddest you’ve ever been after a football game?” We’re not looking for the answer, we’re looking for the reaction. The tone and body language I’ll show you while describing the end of 2010 ASU-Wisconsin will tell you all you need to know. Wait no - 2009 ASU-UGA. Fuckin’ AJ Green.
Just when you thought the Greenbrier couldn't lose any more luster. I'm at the point I miss when the railroad owned it.
A New York-based investment firm will now have controlling ownership in The Greenbrier, one of West Virginia’s top tourist attractions, company officials announced Friday, reports @lorikerseywv.bsky.social.
Currently deciding if I should start a garden railroad as a project for when my little girl gets old enough to garden as a family project
Before leaving her daddy's cultural land on her first trip, I brought my 10 week old daughter and her Nebraskan mom to the capital of the south

What’s the single “best” college football game you’ve attended live? Not necessarily due to your rooting interests, but the best/most tense/entertaining game.
I'm just so tired of my profession being under attack. Our funding has been decimated. Our potential student population is being slashed for no reason. And in my area, they AREN'T doing anything to help improve pharmacy reimbursement. It's fun to teach management with no money to be made.
Congrats we just made it impossible to come here for a PhD www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/16/m...
Realize I get to take my daughter to Oxford for the first time in less than a month. I will always appreciate this video for being able to take me back to the Oxford I fell in love with almost 20 years ago. It just puts me in a good mood. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rTk...

The best edit I’ve seen in weeks, you absolutely have to turn the sound on for this one.
Today (especially tonight) I learned how absolutely insane for fireworks Omaha is. I drove to our church parking lot with my wife and there was a perma-haze of fireworks smoke the entire 2.5 mile drive there. Glad to know I'll never have to spend my own money on the 4th of July as long as I'm here
Pretty much anything Blinkin does in Men in Tights makes me laugh, but him serving as the lookout "I'm...guessing", followed by the Men in Tights dance is spectacular.

Everyone tell me your favorite Mel Brooks bit. Could be of himself or something from one of his movies or a speech, everything funny counts Mine changes, but right now I think it may be this tiny moment in Robin Hood Men in Tights. The incredulous, “you changed it *to* latrine?” WRECKS me lmao
Been a lot going on since little one showed up a month ago. This song was playing this morning while I was feeding her, and it really hit something today. www.youtube.com/watch?v=npZv...
