I know they're not teeth, guys. 🌱🏴

new phoebe is good, but the "(reprise)" at the end makes for a weaker closer than if she had just ended on "as above" imo. "as above" does a great job of channeling "right where it belongs", too, which was a style i didn't really expect to hear out of her.

my first encounter with cops was calling them for a bne at my dad's that was done as a threat to me by my mother's bf (nothing stolen but valuables laid out and things broken). not only did they do nothing, but it just let him know he could escalate without consequence

It’s so funny when people are like “sure you’re an abolitionist now but wait until you’re the victim of a property crime.” Buddy, the most useful thing the police have ever done for property crime is put the form you need to submit to your insurance online.

Smush is the better game in that it tracks more metrics than you can simultaneously pursue. It also has metrics you will naturally self-impose that it *doesn't* track and metrics that are obfuscated (e.g. "beat the robot"). It is a game; it allows and encourages play. 4x3 is just a puzzle.

Continued ecological deterioration will act as pretense for heightened tyranny as "necessary measures" in the face of disasters. I don't want to finally break our shackles to win a wasteland. The green front of the fight is at least as important as any other front.

Regardless of their shortcomings, I'm so glad we're seeing more films like Megalopolis or Queer that have strong identities independent of what's trending as "successful". Keep letting people make weird shit that steps on a few rakes. It's a lot more interesting.

Shout out to the new Food Not Bombs chapter in Worcester, Mass! These folks came down to hang out with & help us for a few months & now they have their own weekly gig up & running! Your friends in Waltham are very proud of your efforts!🥰✌️

Pilot Quest might be the only game I know whose core loop steadily shifts from one genre to an entirely different one as you play through it. The strangest way I've ever seen a hybridization of genres done. Just a constant gradient over its runtime.
