For the first time in a month plus, the stars aligned and my schedule was such I can take a WFH day. Feeling like maybe I shouldn't (because I know I won't work as effectively,) but it's also Friday and my anxietybrain needs to sit down and shut up. *nodnod*

This has been such an amazingly 'normal' week at work since Tuesday. No massive stresses or surprise fires - I'm doing my 8 hours and able to leave. This is incredible but I am concerned about when the other shoe will drop; I'm not mentally primed to accept that things can be nice. XD

That's one way to wake up, almost being involved in a 5 car pileup when someone 4 cars ahead decides now is the time for them to sharply brake and sit in the lane for no visible reason. Thank goodness for antilock brakes, but I think this is my cue to get brakes and tires replaced. Too close.

Deleted my last post as it came across as braggy. Still though, it's fascinating to see my new hire open up and thrive because people treat him as an equal instead of micromanaging him. I hope he stays this pleased with his new team. =)

Feels so cold and wet this morning, I didn't want to get out of bed and was in fact doing the mental math to see if I really had to. But now to start the day at Safeway, getting celebratory treats - new hire starts today, and an auditor returns after recovering from a broken hand. Snax. *nod*

Having a struggle day. How do you push through those days when you just don't want to do the thing, and you're feeling pretty negative and cranky about the situations at the office? Keeping a mood from splashing should not be this hard as an adult. XD

Today was a very very strange day at work: I get in, do my job, and after a day of giving training I look up and see that it's time to leave. No fires, no explosions, no real boredom, just a good solid day of work That NEVER happens!

I made the 'mistake' of listening to the Control Resonant soundtrack and there is this one song that earwormed the heck out of me. Just a slow, plonky, steady beat that feels like walking somewhere step by step, but with great effort, mixed with a chorus that sounds ethereal and yearning.

I hate having to say 'no' to employees, especially after I've been off work for 2 hours and am at around a [4]. Grumblegrumblehadtoputonmymanagerhatgrr. Is over and done with though. Fooood time.

Sitting in therapy, waiting for the doc, feeling anxiety increasing because 'what if I do this wrong' which makes perfect sense, thanks brain. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself to stay sane(ish.)
