I've been in a movie slump for a bunch of years, but 2025 was my best year (by one movie) since I started tracking using my own database in 2012.
Some new-ish additions to my movie tracking site! First off: Academy Awards. I find it really interesting to dig around the data.
For me, adding Prettier was a relief. Stylistic nitpicking (mostly) stopped instantly.
I remember when prettier came out and we tried it on a project, I called it "uglier" and removed it almost immediately. Little did I know that it mostly doesn't matter _how_ you format something - what matters is that everyone uses the same style. In that sense, prettier is goated 🐐.
I've been all in on Tailwind since its early days, but recently I've been happier writing regular CSS.
We built a calculator that doesn't work, but don't worry, it's also a plagiarism machine that will tell you to kill yourself. It runs on the world's oceans and costs 10 trillion dollars.

I didn’t think this was going to be my soundtrack of the day. Bekhauf, Kismat, and Tadka went especially hard. open.spotify.com/album/4ZNvlZ...

Go parallelization is so sweet and simple. Made my solution go from 10 s to 0,84 s for Advent of Code day 7 part 2 🏎️
New best placements of the year in Advent of Code! 3991/3500 on Day 3. If I had just noticed that the test input changed for part two a little faster...
Ohh this is the first year since 2017 that I've watched over 100 movies. I don't know what happened last year with only 32...
Advent of Code makes me feel giddy, so much fun! Woke up at 05:50 to prepare, back in bed by 06:20.
Repo prepped for Advent of Code. This year I'm going with Go!

Neat way to get a personalized handle if you don’t own a domain, but have a GitHub account!
Developers, do you want to verify yourself here but don't have a personal domain? You can use your GitHub account! 🦋🐱 I temporarily renamed myself to @nicolo-ribaudo.github.io :)
After upgrading to React Native 0.76, TurboModule threw an error: "Detected unsupported return class: kotlin.Unit". The issue? A custom Native Module was implicitly returning Unit? instead of Unit. Wrapping the logic in a void method fixed it.
This popped up as the first song in my Discover Weekly. Never heard it before, but got teary eyed immediately. It went straight to my heart. Such a beautiful piece.

How can the TestFlight / App Store Connect interface be so horribly slow? It's a little bit of text and some tables.
