Gutted to hear the news about John Douglas of trashcan sinatras. Of course I've been a fan since the band's very first album and been a part of their online fanbase for just about as long online fanbases have been a thing.
Interviewing TV writer, podcaster, and occasional actress Robin Shorr today for Letting Them Talk with Will Harris. I got to know her because of her work on The Middle, as one might reasonably expect (she wrote the ep featuring the storyline my family inspired), but she's got a fun back catalog.
Last night two new songs showed up on Spotify attributed to the Mighty Lemon Drops, but whoever did these songs, it definitely wasn't the UK band that made that band name famous. Fortunately, I have a playlist for anyone who wants nothing but the *real* Mighty Lemon Drops. God, I love those guys...

Just watched BJ’s two-part arrival and Col. Potter’s first episode. They really did an amazing job at replacing two major characters and introducing two new ones in such a way as to make them both feel distinctly different from their predecessors and yet still perfect for their surroundings.

Just recorded another episode of Letting Them Talk w/ John Ross Bowie for after the season finale of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. We go through the whole season episode by episode. “I thought this would be a half hour. I forgot who I was talking to. You bring good stuff out of me.”
So now in addition to being the anniversary of the release of the 1966 Batman movie, it's also the anniversary of @markhamillofficial.bsky.social becoming aware of one of my posts. One date, two Jokers!
60 years ago today, BATMAN was released in theaters, and not only is one of the great underrated comedies of the '60s, but when it comes to delivering the message "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb," it's second to nun.
