Young Kestrels in Glasgow. I've held these pics back a few weeks and i'm not going to give location as its a fairly vulnerable and very busy urban spot. Thought for a while it might be mum plus three but fairly sure its four young, not far off fledging when this was taken. #birds
Antler #moth crawling in grass so I carefully placed them on some flowering ragwort for a tasty nectar lunch.
We lost beautiful Tofu yesterday. One of the original members of the retirement village. He was with us for 10 months of bliss. It never gets any easier seeing them off but I love how much respect the dogs feel from our team at the end. He is buried beside bis friend Atlas.

While I’m away dropping off dogs and visiting our mobile teams the guys back at the land are helping Tofu through his final journey. I had no idea they were doing this. Was emotional seeing it myself. A very good boy
Some of you might find this interesting: the adult Ravens are black inside their mouths, whereas the juveniles are still pink. Apparently the mouth turns black any time up to 2 years, and social status is a key factor: more dominant Ravens turn black earlier, in the first winter. #ukbirding
