TL;DR KOSA's (Senate version) real threat is probably going to end up being that companies are going to be lazy and blackball talking about certain topics entirely to avoid the appearance of promoting those harmful topics to minors, even in an educational context. SCREEN Act is age verification.

NEW: Over the last few months, Meta has run dozens of paid ads that included AI-generated CSAM. The ads, some of which were linking out to “nudify” apps, targeted men in the US, UK, and a dozen European countries. Some were running in the last few days

you can hate babyfurs, think we're gross or whatever, i don't care, but I beg you to turn a fraction of that energy towards the multi-billion-dollar corps who are generating literal CSAM and sexually exploiting real children in real harmful ways instead of attacking us, the ones who don't do that

The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries. 1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors. You'd have to scan your face to use Google.
